L’Occitane’s new fragrance brings new meaning to the first light of day

Ever wondered what a fragrance that’s inspired by the first light of dawn would smell like? With a concept that is seemingly abstract yet poignant, French beauty brand L’Occitane took on the task of creating a fragrance that is eloquent in its entirety—hence the conception of Terre de Lumière.

Taking references from the founder’s home in the charming region of Provence in France, the trio of perfumers intended for Terre de Lumière to stir up a spectrum of emotions different memories for different people. With that in mind, light was the key element that anchors this fragrance to Provence—especially so when the light of dawn bestows a breathtaking semblance throughout the region, rendering it picturesque and enthralling altogether.

No surprises to the notes that are incorporated in this EDT—floral notes of bergamot, blackcurrant, pink pepper and pink peonies brings to mind the fresh air of dawn, while earthy notes of almond essence, white musk and tonka beans give it a robust finish that rounds it off perfectly. Encased in a powder pink bottle that is quite in line with this year’s trendiest colour, the Terre de Lumière is one consummate fragrance to own and to wear.

Available in 50ml (RM280) and 90ml (RM380) at all L’Occitane boutiques nationwide.
