New Ways to Shake-up Your Makeup

1. Wear color eye shadow – even if you have single eyelids

“Use only the one color from the lash line to right above your crease. Shadow sticks such as NARS Soft Touch Shadow Pencils are easy to use and allow you to get just the right amount of depth at the lash line blending easily as you go up.”

2. Rethink your lippies

“Generally, you will read that the brighter the shade the bigger your lips will look but I would ask women to consider the texture more. You could still wear a darker shade for appearance of large lips if it had a glossier finish such as NARS Lip Gloss in Sixties Fan.”

3. Go easy on the contour

“Contouring can easily look too theatrical and I am not huge fan of using these techniques unless it is truly necessary (i.e. someone has previously broken their nose and it is obviously crooked). I am concerned that there are a lot of lovely women trying to change how they look when they really don’t need to!”

4. Play up your features!

“Use the NARS Contour Blushers to softly create a shadow along the cheekbones and around the jawline. Remember to blend and step away from the mirror to see how it looks in the ‘real’ world. If you do your makeup and don’t take a minute to step back and look, it could end up being too harsh.”
