January is a month of awards and if there’s one thing we can’t get enough of, it’s the slew of celebrity hair and makeup looks that have been killin’ it on the red carpet. Last week, our favourite stars kicked of 2018 with panache at the Golden Globes Awards, with party-at-the-back hairstyles that are perfect #HairInspo for the rest of us.

Last night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards saw one similar theme in the beauty arena: Stars played it down with neutral colours and simple hairdos that heralded the muted colour palette of the spring season. Adding pizzazz to the earthy undertones were shimmer and sparkle by way of subtle smoky eye looks, while a handful went down the retro route with crimped waves and a chic red lip.
