Tried and tested: La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Pearl Infusion

If I had the chance, I would want to go back to my teens and recapture the best state my skin has ever been in. I was once blessed with tofu-like complexion, nary a blemish or pigmentation in sight. Alas, ageing is real girls! Curses! It also doesn’t help that free radicals, crazy hormones and questionable lifestyle are big influences on the state of my skin. Admittedly, I also tend to skip sunscreen sometimes as I hate the greasy texture, which is really unkind to my skin.

While I’ve come to accept that ageing is inevitable, it doesn’t kill to take steps to slow down its process. In my quest to diligently preserve my youth the best I can, I’ve made acquaintance with La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Pearl Infusion recently. The serum goes on my face every morning and evening after my cleansing and toning routine, and before my moisturiser. The smooth silky gel-like texture gets absorbed almost instantly on the skin leaving no sticky residue. I normally shun away from anything that has slow absorption rate and oily sheen, so this serum has been well accepted by my skin.

The La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Pearl Infusion is formulated with a new proprietary breakthrough in the complex science of brightening skin. Researchers found that skin’s uneven tone and loss of luminosity are not only due to melanin-induced spots but also redness and dullness. Hence, the White Caviar Illuminating Pearl Infusion is developed to target the three factors that affect a luminous complexion. The concentrated formulation includes an exquisite pearly infusion that contains golden caviar extract and a stable, oil soluble form of vitamin C, as well as Diglucosyl Gallic Acid (DGA).

For someone like yours truly who is beginning to see sunspots on the cheeks, it was interesting to note the functions of the ingredients used in this serum. For example, the active ingredient DGA helps to slow down the master switch of melanin production and limit the spread of melanin throughout the skin. This is boosted by the stable derivative of vitamin C encapsulated in the pearls, so with every application, you get a freshly released dose to smooth over the skin. It also helps that the pearls consists of different polysaccharides in which one of it offers a strong anti-pollution action by forming a protective “second skin” to shield skin from particles and heavy metals that can damage cells and contribute to grey, dull complexion.

After using the White Caviar Illuminating Pearl Infusion for a month, I noticed my skin has visibly improved in texture and tone to my delight. My complexion appears radiant and my skin feels well balanced. I like knowing that this serum is made to help support the skin from within and that it actually offers protection as well from the daily pollutants. To eternal youth and beyond!

La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Pearl Infusion is priced at RM2,550 (30ml). Available at Isetan KLCC, Isetan The Gardens and Parkson Pavilion KL.
